How would you feel about a new law where all married women had to quit their jobs and be housewives?

SIngle women would be required to marry be age 20. Men would marry after they finished college and had a good job to provide. No more sports teams for women either. That would be replaced with women’s sewing clubs, gardening, cooking , etc. Back to traditonal values, sounds like heaven to me. Oh and to those who are going to bring up all the women who are trapped in abusive marriages, it has nothing to do with marriage as just as many women who shack up with someone get abused and they seem to be just as controlled by the men even though they aren’t married to them. All women are ordered back to the home.
barefoot and pregnant, no there are too many cute shoes you could wear and being pregnant isn’t a good look and your hubby will need to see someone else

Should we be barefoot and pregnant too?
They would have to kill me first…..I am very independant and intend to stay that way. One person’s heaven is another person’s hell.

LOL…I’d seriously give anything to be able to quit my job and be a housewife…because work, kids, and running a house is so exhausting!

Sounds like a rewind to the 50s if u ask me…wait you did ask me….I think that depends on what woman you ask. Some women would say that this is the way to go. Some would think you’ve gone crazy. I am in between. I am 20 and I think I’m too young to be getting married. I also think that in today’s day and age both the man and woman should be working and trying to build a life together….why do I say this? What if the man gets a mistress and leaves his wife…then she’d be left with nothing. Today marriages dont work as well as they did back then….and some people marry 2 and 3 times before finding true, true love. Sometimes you have to go through a few guys to find The One. and sometimes you are lucky and you find true love right away. I personally wouldn’t wanna live my life in a house having babies, and doing chores all day, and living under a man. Especially since girls are being raised to be independent, and since men dont wanna grow up and they like to be adulterous and not take care of their families and they leave us women in the cold and to fend for ourselves. The only way I would want to become a housewife is when I have established a career and found the right man, so IF things didn’t go right then, I could take care of myself.

What bad ideas you have! What you wrote is almost exactly what the German Nazi party adopted as official doctrine. Why is forcing people to fit a mold better than allowing them to think for themselves? And how traditional do you want to get? 3 hundred years ago, you’d have been publicly humiliated and forced to wear a big red letter A, on your breast, and you know what for. It seems like you’re unhappy with everything.
