If I had to take an educated guess it would be to make sure there is nothing in your system that could be spread to patients or staff as well as a routine drug screen. Because of HIPPA rules medical information cannot be shared.

Most jobs dont, it probably a medical thing. I’m guessing to prevent the spread of disiese they test your blood.
